As an emerging fashion designer and someone who really loves fashion in general, my favorite event of all time have to be the MET GALA. This fantastic event is the perfect time for designers and celebrities to have the creative freedom to use their imagination and find the best look that can possibly fit the theme of each year.
I usually visit each Costume Institute exhibition at least 3 times while the collection is being displayed. It is an opportunity to see and analyze designs from highly-recognized fashion designers from all times and try to get into their mindset of how they had constructed their work and how the designs are related to the selected theme every year. I genuinely love the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, and it has been a second home for me since I moved to NY.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York City has finally announced the theme of the 2020 Met Gala event and the Costume Institute exhibition."About Time: Fashion and Duration" is the name for the 2020 theme. This one is another concept open to interpretation, similar to the 2019 's theme - "Camp." I am pretty sure that the 2020 MET GALA will be a major event since The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be celebrating its 150th anniversary.
The exhibition is inspired by philosopher Henri Bergson's concept “of la durée and Virginia Woolf's work. "This exhibition will consider the ephemeral nature of fashion, employing flashbacks and fast-forwards to reveal how it can be both linear and cyclical" - Max Hollein, director of The MET.
* This is how I understand the theme for the next year so far - "time and consciousness," the highlights of fashion that made us who we are today / how we dress today, and the perpetual styles that made a mark in history. I am thinking about those pieces that I had to study during my fashion history classes ( The power suit, The New Look, Rococo, Crinolines and panniers, etc.) This is still pretty vague, and I would have to read more about Henri Bergson's and Virginia Woolf' s theories and relate them to the fashion industry to come up with the right concept for you.
The 2019's theme, "Camp: Notes on Fashion," was also given to the public to be interpreted as they wanted to do it. "Camp" was very bold, and many people made their own assumptions about what they should wear. "Camp" to me is being fearless, and I am pretty excited to analyze the looks for next year's MET GALA, that's why I want to know your wild thoughts about the 2020 MET GALA's theme and what you would wear if you had the chance to go.
On top of that, I wanted to show you some of the photos I took when I visited this year's exhibition for the second time. I wore a cute and casual look ( casual for me ) with pink clothes, pink accessories, and bold pink eye-makeup because the exhibition was decorated with a lot of pink details, and I loved it.

Como diseñadora de moda y alguien que realmente ama la moda, mi evento favorito de todos los tiempos es la MET GALA. Este increíble evento es el momento perfecto para que los diseñadores y celebridades tengan la libertad creativa de usar su imaginación y encontrar el mejor look que posiblemente se pueda ajustar al tema de cada año.
Normalmente visito cada exposición del Costume Institute al menos 3 veces mientras se exhibe la colección. Es una oportunidad para ver y analizar diseños de diseñadores de moda altamente reconocidos de todos los tiempos y tratar de ver cómo construyeron su trabajo, además de entender cómo los diseños están relacionados con el tema seleccionado cada año. Realmente amo el Museo Metropolitano de Arte, ha sido un segundo hogar para mí desde que me mudé a Nueva York.

Además de eso, quería mostrarles algunas de las fotos que tomé cuando visité la exposición de este año por segunda vez. Llevaba un look cute y casual (casual para mí) con ropa rosa, accesorios rosados y maquillaje rosa impactante; ya que la exhibición estaba decorada con muchos detalles rosados y me encantó.
